"Distorção de uma paixão" (Distortion of a passion), a micro film by Riccardo Migliore, in the online festival "MINUTO AD"

Distorção de uma paixão (Distortion of a passion) is the one-minute -version of my short film A chave da maré (2010). The micro film is competing in the online film festival MINUTO AD, specifically, in the event "Em briga de marido e mulher se mete a colher", sponsored by Avon.

 

 

The micro film is about a common hallucination, that is, a passion (love affair) from the past that literally mix up with the "warm" present of the main character, Helena. The video intentionally means to provoke, for it aims to stir morality and the so called proper costumes. But finally, genre, sexual orientation and most of the situations in "Distorção de uma paixão" (As well as in "A chave da maré") must be understood in a symbolic way. The core of the diegesis is a fusion between past and present, between  an intense but brief love affair lived before, and an average relationship that Helena is actually into. Memories, imagination, daydreaming. And all that jazz...

"Distorção de uma paixão", de Riccardo Migliore, no MINUTO AD

Distorção de uma paixão é a versão de um minuto do curta de ficção/experimental A chave da maré, de 2010. O micro-curta está participando do festival online de cinema MINUTO AD, concorrendo no evento "Em briga de marido e mulher se mete a colher" que tem patrocínio da Avon.

 

 

O curta retrata uma alucinação bem comum, ou seja uma paixão do passado que literalmente mistura-se com o presente, morno, da protagonista Helena. Há intencionalidade quanto à provocação, explícita, pois o filme visa mexer com a moral e os chamados bons costumes. Mas afinal gênero, orientação sexual e os demais acontecimentos em "Distorção de uma paixão" (assim como em "A chave da maré") devem ser entendidos de maneira simbólica. O cerne da diegese é a fusão entre presente e passado, entre uma paixão intensa vivenciada num momento anterior e uma convivência mediocre, vivenciada na atualidade pela protagonista. Lembrança, fantasia e devaneio. O resto são detalhes...

Logomarcas "Migliore Filmes" by Vivianne Stayner

Finalmente ganho umas logomarcas! E devo agradecer minha amiga e parceira Vivianne Stayner :)

Sendo que coincidentemente, a estreia das logos se dará no clipe da música "Onde está você", de autoria dela (música de Val Donato, Letra de Vivianne Stayner). Enquanto o clipe está saindo do forno e só falta mesmo é finalizar, aproveito para divulgar a arte das logomarcas que Vivianne fez para mim. É assim mesmo, quem costuma produzir na "raça", sem patrocinadores e tal, se encontra, conhece, reconhece e  ajuda reciprocamente. Papai do Céu sabe e coloca as pessoas certas no nosso caminho. Last Sunday i had the pleasure to begin the production of the videoclip "onde está você", based on a beautiful song written by Vivianne Stayner, a musician/singer/composer from Campina Grande (Brazil). Previously, i've promised to Vivianne that i would have shot a video clip as i really loved her music. So here we go...Last Sunday we achieved (the tough job) to shoot the most "on the road" part of the clip, from her hometown Campina Grande, to the "Pedra de Sto Antônio" (Saint Anthony Stone), a pittoresque, amazing spot, located on the top of one of the region's highest hills, allowing to contemplate a beautiful panorama. We shot this main part of the clip in a very few hours, during the short  afternoon typical of this subtropical region (at 5:30 PM normally it starts to get dark). Honestly, i thought that we wouldn't make it, i mean, getting up there and achieve to use natural light. But we made it, of course with the help of the Saint. 

Obviously i'm not going to reveal the whole synopsis before we launch the video, but let's say that in its diegesis, the images dialogue with the song's lyrics, which is inherent to a return to the past, specifically, about an interrupted friendship. The lyrics are Vivianne's and she said that the music was composed by her friend Val Donato. Vivianne has already chosen a few frames from the rough cut that i've already provided (Sunday night).

Ontem tive o prazer de começar as gravações do clipe "onde está você", linda música da artista campinense Vivianne Stayner. Tempo atrás, tinha prometido a Vivianne que ia fazer um clipe para ela, pois adorei esta música. E aqui estamos. Ontem conseguimos a árdua tarefa de gravar a parte mais "on the road" do clipe, de Campina até à Pedra de Sto Antônio, só pela tarde, começando às 14 horas no Açude Velho e passando por diversas locações entre Campina, Galante e Fagundes. Sinceramente, pensei que não ia dar certo a gente chegar lá em cima e ainda aproveitar a luz natural. Mas deu, com certeza Santo Antônio nos ajudou e nos agradecemos.

Não adianta eu contar a sinopse do clipe antes de lançar o vídeo, mas digamos que em sua diegese, as imagens dialogam com a letra da música, que por sua vez é inerente a uma volta ao passado, no caso, inerente a uma amizade interrompida. A letra é de Vivianne, segundo a qual a composição da música é de autoria de Val Donato. Vivianne até escolheu alguns frames da edição bruta com a qual me deparei ontem.

Another micro clip experiment with my brand new Canon C100

Another micro clip i've made as a test with my brand new Canon Eos C100 and my set of lenses. I've shot this video today, between 4:30 and 5pm, just before picking up my son at school. It's just a test, i mean. The skater's name's Diego Camboim. The More i test the new equipment, more i'm getting familiar to it. Glad i've chosen this camera as it Seems to be great for documentaries, clips and stuff. I kindly suggest to choose the 1080p option in the You Tube interface.
